Chorlton gives you several different shapes of family outing without making every trip a big day out. Start with stories and a book browse at the Carnegie library on Manchester Road, head to Chorlton Park for its children’s play areas, or choose a creative class at The Edge. For babies and toddlers, Little Werbs combines play, crafts and songs with time for grown-ups to chat. School-age children have drama and music options, plus outdoor forest-school and sports-and-stage holiday clubs. Around Chorlton Green, the artisan market adds a different kind of outing on its advertised Saturdays: stalls, live music and room to pause on the green.
Pair Chorlton Library or a creative class at The Edge with outdoor play in Chorlton Park. Babies have play-and-song groups; school-age children have drama, forest-school and holiday-camp options.
