About this outing
Develop cycling skills through activities, games and races, with a pathway towards track or off-road riding. Bikes and helmets are included or you can bring your own. Sessions last one hour and take place on the inner track. Riders must start independently, stop safely, control direction and speed and have a basic understanding of gears. Under-eights should first try Pedal Bike Club and discuss progression with a coach. Adults remain on site in spectator seating.
Planning your visit
- Bring water, a snack, gloves, comfortable layers and waterproofs. Closed-toe shoes are required; no sandals, sliders, Crocs or flip-flops.
- Meet beyond the pavilion at the thick blue line between the blue seating and picnic area. Cross the track only when invited by the coach and remain inside until escorted out.
- Arrive early if borrowing a bike. Children arriving more than ten minutes late cannot join the session.
