About this outing
Gather for the Orchard’s seasonal celebration with natural-material crafts, family games, soup on the campfire and warm drinks and cake. Bring a vegetable to add to the soup, wrap up warmly and wear sturdy shoes. Admission uses pay-as-you-feel donations. Book ahead so the organiser can plan numbers. The site has a compost toilet, handwashing and shelter; natural ground is uneven, so ask about access needs. Extreme-weather cancellations are notified to ticket holders. This is the advertised 13 December celebration, not a claim that 13 December is the astronomical solstice.
