About this outing
Join local birder Matthew Harrison on a one- to two-mile circular walk in search of wintering birds such as marsh tit, kingfisher, redwing and bittern. The Ouse Burn Way project welcomes people of all ages, and the walk is intended for beginners and enthusiasts. Meet at the reserve entrance on Salter’s Lane. Paths include boardwalk, compacted gravel and uneven woodland that may be slippery or damp after rain. An accessible toilet is at the Field Studies Room and an eco-loo is on the main path. Tickets are £3 per person; no refunds. Book ahead, subject to capacity. The advertised ticket sales deadline is 10am on 4 November, the start of the walk.
