About this outing

Thompsons Park offers ornamental gardens, seating and walks, with a recreation field in the upper part of the site. Its Joyance fountain sculpture is by William Goscombe John. The council says the park is not locked and is open all year round. Use the lower entrance on Romilly Road or the upper entrance on Pencisely Road; on-street parking is available in the surrounding area. Choose it for a quieter garden walk and time on the upper recreation field.
