About this outing
The Rookery is a formal garden almost surrounded by Streatham Common. Its cascade of ornamental ponds, flower beds, Old English Garden, White Garden and orchard make it a quieter garden-walk alternative to the Common’s playground. The council lists public toilets, parking and a café adjacent to the garden. Streatham Common Cooperative manages the garden.
Planning your visit
- Normally open from 07:30 until 30 minutes before dusk; the garden can close earlier in bad weather. Check the current closing time before an afternoon visit.
