About this outing
The Enchanted Cinema invites children and their grown-ups to become walruses, alpacas, butterflies and other spirit creatures, using hands, voices, instruments and ingenious sound effects to form a magical orchestra. Explore the Mexican-inspired animation XOLO and the Wizards’ Battle from Lotte Reiniger’s The Adventures of Prince Achmed. Each interactive workshop lasts one hour in the Pavilion near the Bandstand.
Planning your visit
- Come dressed as a spirit creature if you like. Keep phones away; no food or drink in the Pavilion.
- The Pavilion is at the top of the Gardens, reached up a hill from the London Road entrance.
- On 23 October the operator reported Gardens closed for adverse weather, with Museum entry only from London Road and both nearby bus stops closed after burst water mains. Check its live travel and weather alerts before setting off.
