About this outing
Ignite Your Power CIC’s National Lottery-funded Welsh Warrior Project offers a free 90-minute self-defence and personal-safety workshop at Sketty Park Community Centre. It covers trusting intuition, personal space, assertive communication, stance, movement, escaping standing grabs and de-escalation. It is open only to women and girls aged 12 and over; younger children cannot attend. All abilities are welcome. There is light controlled physical contact with the option to opt out; the method does not promote striking. Wear comfortable clothes and preferably trainers. Places are limited and must be reserved through Eventbrite; an optional Q&A follows. The workshop is on Friday 27 November, 6.30pm–8pm.
