About this outing
The museum describes itself as in the Fishponds area, within the former asylum church at UWE’s Glenside Campus, Blackberry Hill; its travel address also uses Stapleton. Collections explore mental-health care, hospital life and medical artefacts. Adult annual pass £5, with up to two under-18s free per paying adult. Drop-ins are welcome, or book ahead. Open Wednesdays 10:00–13:00 and Saturdays 10:00–16:00. The main museum is wheelchair accessible, with a step to the final metre of the altar display and an accessible toilet. Museum parking is available on Saturdays only, not Wednesdays. Allow around 90 minutes; adults can judge which medical displays suit their children.
