Fairwater Leisure Centre, off Waterhall Road, has a 25-metre, six-lane pool with a double-shallow-ended layout used for family swimming and lessons. The sports hall hosts activities including badminton and junior sports. The site lists wheelchair adaptations, accessible toilets and parking, a poolside hoist, ramp access and a lift. There is free car parking with 50 spaces including three disabled bays, and storage for eight bikes. Standard non-member swimming admission shown: adults aged 16+ £9 per person and juniors aged 4–15 £4.90 per person. A free-to-join Cardiff Resident Card gives the displayed rates of £8.20 and £4.35 respectively. Pay As You Go member rates are £6.80 and £3.65 respectively, but that membership has a separate annual charge; do not treat member rates as the whole non-member outing cost. Poolside lockers cost £1 or a locker token. Choose an appropriate family session and check the applicable booking total, including any accompanying adults. A four-week internal improvement programme was announced for the week of 24 August 2026: the centre said it would continue operating, with temporary effects on individual areas. Confirm the selected facility/session before travelling rather than assuming every part is available throughout the building’s opening hours.
