About this outing
Forest Hill Pools offers swimming lessons for children across ages and abilities as part of Better’s progressive Learn to Swim framework. Qualified teachers support swimmers at the appropriate stage. Compare the current courses and choose a level that matches your child’s ability; contact the centre if unsure.
Planning your visit
- Under-eights and non-swimmers aged 11–17 must be accompanied by a competent adult swimmer, with no more than two such children per adult. Adults must actively supervise in the water; under-eights and non-swimmers remain in shallow water.
- Children over eight wishing to swim without an adult must pass the centre’s 25-metre recognised-stroke swim test. Check the operator’s rules for your child’s age and ability.
