About this outing

Families can climb into a recreated evacuee train carriage, try a giant magnetic board game, discover a secret fireplace passage and bring children’s letters to life through animation. The free exhibition explores how war has affected children from 1914 to the present day. Designed for families with children aged 8 and over, with younger visitors welcome too. This is an ongoing exhibition, open during normal museum hours, not a daily booked session.
