Landscaped gardens, a lake and an old waterwheel for a short outdoor walk beside the library and museum.

About this outing
Bourne Hall’s landscaped grounds offer a compact outdoor stop around the lake. Look for the nineteenth-century waterwheel framed by a flint arch: it originally pumped water to greenhouses. Signs mark the London Loop pedestrian route connecting Ewell towards the site of Nonsuch Palace. The council says rangers lock Bourne Hall Park gates half an hour before sunset, so plan an earlier walk rather than an after-dark visit. Keep children close beside the water.
