Ballysillan Playing Fields can be entered from Alliance Drive, Ballysillan Road or Deerpark Road. The council lists soccer pitches and a bowling green; its separate playground directory also identifies Ballysillan playground within the playing fields at Ballysillan Road, BT14 7QR. Check the current staged-works restrictions before planning playground use. Metro 11A from the city centre is a bus option. A major redevelopment began in July 2025 and is expected to finish in spring 2027. During the works the playing fields remain open, but sections close in stages and signs explain disruption. Follow the on-site restrictions; the future destination park is not yet a completed attraction. Organised pitch use requires a booking enquiry and is not confirmed until the council Pitches Admin Team provides written or email confirmation. Call 028 9027 0684 for bookings during Monday–Friday 8am–4pm. Free Wi-Fi is specifically in the changing pavilion, not proof of free sports hire.
